21days of lockdown, what does it mean?
It's easy, it means to stay home only go out if you really have to. However, you only allowed going to the supermarket and pharmacy.
How is my family going to survive as we love being outdoors?
Well, I've come up with a plan. The things we would normally do outside we going to do them at home.
Mostly I am going to let my imagination run wild. On Thursday, we built a fort and the boys watch a movie under it. We gonna do some easy science experiments ( volcano's, lava lamps etc) Basically, lockdown in my home is going to be super awesome because we going to bond as a family.
Besides having fun and doing exciting things we will be homeschooling the boys. So by the time they return to school, they would not have much to catch up on. We have decided to keep to the school routine. The boys wake up as if it's a school day and go to bed at normal school times.
Oh, and did I mention that I am working from home as well.
Needless to say, I am super busy but since Ahmed is home he has taken over some of the household duties and keeping the kids entertained when they on a break.
So, Coronavirus.... How do I explain you to a 6-year-old and 3-year-old? Well, I went with a bad germ is making the world sick. We don't really want to get sick, so we going to be at home where it's safe. I expected a lot of questions from my kids but was answered with an "okay".
If my kids are able to accept that being inside is for their best interest, why can't you?
May Allah protect us all. Stay safe and stay indoors.
Aslm.
